The creative genius of Martine Tartour opened the doors (literally) for the Atlanta-Toulouse Sister Cities Committee to explore the wonderful world of cheese on May 8, 2021.  Member Neevra Walker offered her beautiful Buckhead cottage to host 20 members and guests of members.  The weather was beautiful and we were all seated on the deck to hear Martine talk about French cheese, the best time to purchase the varietals and the location of the source.  Interesting was her research on how U.S. importers of French cheese request modifications of the cheese to become more palatable to American taste preference.

After the talk, Martine offered many varieties of cheese to sample with baguette and appropriate accompaniments.  ATSCC sponsored the wine.  Member participation was a mere $10 to cover the cost of the products sampled.
